The Approach
This project came to fruition thanks to the NYC soccer community. Ahead of the World Cup, we wanted to highlight three key groups of U.S. women’s soccer fans and what the team means to their communities: the current players who look up to the team, the families who connect over the games, and the queer community who find safe spaces to watch. Women’s sports feel different from men’s - safer, more inclusive - and the women’s national team has done so much. This project is our way of celebrating and thanking them.
